On New Year's Day, Josh ran in the Resolution Run - a 5k (about 3 miles) race at Magnuson Park in Seattle. Here's the kicker - at the end of the race, before the finish line, the runners can do an optional dip in Lake Washington. Note the word optional. Josh opted to do that part. CRAZY! I was so proud of him - he ran it so well. I was screaming and cheering him on when he came running past me & Abby to the finish line. He was soaking wet from his dip in the chilly lake but he did it! It was fun - a few others from Life at the Ridge ran it as well, so me and a couple of other wives of the runners hung out together during the run. Abby did so well. The race was right during her nap time, but she pulled through with no problems. After the race a bunch of us went to lunch together at The Ram in U Village. I love doing things like that as a family - Abby and I wouldn't miss a chance to go support Josh and cheer him on.
