I bought Abby a Cherry Blossom Market, and I got an amazing deal. I had seen it before Christmas, and thought it would be something Abby would really enjoy. But, it was $60, and I just didn't feel right about buying it at that price. So I waited. She got a bunch of stuff for Christmas, and so she didn't need anymore toys. Well, about 3 or 4 weeks after Christmas, I was at Target, and noticed they had 3 or 4 aisles of toys on clearance. I looked thru them, and saw the Market. It was marked down to half price - so $30. It was an awesome deal, but Abby really didn't need it. About a week and a half ago, I was at Target again, and hit the clearance aisles one more time. There it was - the Cherry Blossom Market - marked down 75% - on sale for $14.98! YES! I bought it on the spot. I LOVE a good bargain, and this was an awesome one!
We have been keeping the Market in the garage, waiting to give it to Abby. She asks about it periodically - she'll say - Mommy, can I have my little ting (thing) from Target? She has an amazing memory.
So today, I decided it was a good day to take it out for her. I put it together and she immediately started playing with it. I can't tell you how many times I have bought fruit from her today. It's fun because it came with a little cash register with money and a little debit card.
Our living room has definitely turned into more of a playroom these days. As she gets older, her toys get bigger. Right now our living room has: the Market, her dollhouse, a large toy box, a pink table with 2 stools, and a play kitchen, in addition to our regular furniture. We look forward to having a house with a play room someday soon. Until then, I am happy to keep playing Market with Abby in our living room. :)
