elmo bday

We had a fun little birthday party for Abby on Sunday afternoon. I decided to do a little bit of an Elmo theme - to make it fun. Here are some photos of my decorations - I think I did a good job. :)

Elmo cupcakes - yes, I did make them myself

I used some inexpensive plastic Elmo cups as vases for pretty little flower arrangements. There were 5 total.

The food pretty much consisted of things that Abby likes to eat: tortilla chips (I added some salsa and fresh guacamole for the adults), bananas, pretzel sticks, and cheddar cheese cut into the shape of stars. Abby really loved the star cheese!

Tanya, you are sooooo creative! I love the cups as vases. Your ideas are always simple, beautiful and cool. I look and think, "I could do that!" But I never would have thought of it. Like the bananas, I wouldn't have thought to cut them in cross sections with the peel on. But it makes SO much sense. You ROCK.

The birthday party looks like it was a lot of fun! Abby is cuter than ever. She is getting to be such a big girl. :)
